With huge collections, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has surpassed the global opening records of KGF 2 (Rs 159 crore), Salaar (Rs 158 crore), Leo (Rs 142.75 crore), Saaho (Rs 130 crore), and Jaawan (Rs 129 crore). RRR remains the highest Indian opener with a collection of 223 crores, while Baahubali 2 collected over 217 crores on its opening day.
Kalki 2898 AD released on June 27th with a grand worldwide release. The film, which has already sold more than 20 lakh tickets across all languages in advance bookings, opened on day one to rave reviews. Directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898 AD' earned around Rs 95 crores in India on its first day across all languages, while the film's total collection stands at around Rs 115 crores. The film collected more than Rs 180 crores worldwide on its first day.
